January, SNSD released Oh! which became a very big hit
March, they released Run Devil Run, it also became a very big hit
May, f(x) and Super Junior released Nu ABO and Bonamana, Nu ABO, topped charts in korea and outside korea, Bonamana became a very big hit, sold 100,000 copies after eight more days, they won many awards in inkigayo, music core and music bank, topped charts in korea and outside korea in many weeks.
June, Super Junior released No Other, also topped charts, won many awards in music bank, inkigayo and music core
July, SHINee released Lucifer, became a very big hit, sold more than 100,00 copies
August, BoA released Hurricane Venus, she won awards, topped charts and the album climbed to 44,745 in sales after 10 days of its release.

Once it hits September, honestly, i think YG is gonna dominate the second half.
SM packed all there artists in the first half. SNSD, SUJU, F(x), SHINee, BoA all did their comebacks in the first half more than the second. (if that makes sense)
Who care's who owns when....
Just like Saka said, i'm just waiting for all the special stages at the end of the year.

That worthless filth released by YG will never touch SM's superior talent and artists.
Wow~ and YG fans are bad? SM fans trash on YG too... I mean what make SM better than YG. They both make lots of money and their artists win lots of awards. Both got well known artists. And both have their disadvantages.
Seriously kpop fans need to stop bashing on each other. Friendly competition is ok. This crap is not ok...
I like the groups...I just hate the fans....

OMG,
I KEPT SAYING THAT EVERYWHERE BUT NO ONE AGREED.
But yeah the year isn't over yet.
But then again SM has promoted at least 2/3rd of their artists~. (well I think so? They might have some groups I don't know about~)
Let's just make it the year of both XD!

SM is also making more money this year than they ever have before.
Se7en did pretty badly though actually. Album didn't sell more than 10k and his song didn't do well digitally either.

No because it's about quality... so remove "Oh", SNSD's entire album, Suju "Bonamana" (which sounded almost exactly like "Sorry Sorry") & "RDR"...which they bought...
SM props (as in good): "Lucifer", BoA, and F(x) thus far imo...
so as far as i'm concerned... this is a typical year for SM... some pretty good stuff and then a lot of 'w/e' that ofc does well because of the groups releasing it...
Maybe by the numbers it's been SM's year...
I think this year, i'll tilt my hat to DSP and Pledis...Numbers being irrelevant, these two companies have show some pretty obvious growth imo (aka, the raised their own bars)...they just don't have the same number of artists as SM to pimp out.
To me, that's what gauges a year of success... growth.

Your worthless filthy comment was not necessary. Superior talent my ass, both companies have above amazing artists. Filthy people like you makes it hard for people to appreciate both companies hard work.
